Bert A. Lynn

• Born Nov. 2, 1881 in Fillmore County, Nebraska to Andrew and Sarah Lynn.

• Died Jan. 6, 1972 at Geneva, Nebraska.

• Married to Maude Walters and later Marguerite Limback.

• Parents to Betty Jean, Marilyn Louise, and Bert J.

• He attended the University of Nebraska and the Beatrice Business College.

• He worked at a bank in Moore, Montana, for a year.

• He was appointed deputy county clerk of Fillmore County for four years.

• He served as county clerk from 1912 to 1917.

• He was employed by Geneva Land Company for serveral years.

• He was appointed to Geneva City Clerk.

• In 1950, he was elected Fillmore County treasurer.  He held this office until he retired in 1926.

• He was a member of the Geneva Volunteer Fire company for 41 years.

• He was a 50-year member of both the Mosanic Lodge No. 79 of Geneva and the Knights of Pythias lodge of Milligan.

• He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, serving as treasurer.
