1937 This property was owned by Halvard Anderson and his son, Archie.
1938 They moved a large barn onto the property and built additions to each side. They opened an Oliver and Chase Plow Co., Anderson Implement.
1939 Archie added gas pumps and did some machinery repair.
1945 Albert Frycek took over the station and opened Frycek Oil Co.
1947 W. C. Nelson joined Frycek in the business. (Nelson operated the Nelson Oil Co. at 8th and G from 1950-53, moved to 711 F from 1954-94 and back to 823 F Street.)
1949 Mr. Frycek purchased the property from Archie Anderson.
1950 Albert and Fred Frycek leased their service station to Albert Herzog of Crete, Herzog Service Station.
1950 The property was purchased by Hugh Hill.
1951 Edward H. Itzen sold and repaired tires at the station.
1952 Orval McDonald purchased the station from Joe Herzog, McDonald’s Service Station.
1954 Chester Hayden purchased the station from Hugh Hill. Orval McDonald leased the station during this time.
1954 Floyd Doremus took over the lease of the service station and changed its name to South Side Mobil Service.
1955 Micklin Home Improvement Co. did business as part of the station.
1961 Floyd Doremus sold the SouthSide Mobil Station to C. T. “Ted” Clark.
1962 Les Arent took over operation of the station.
1963 Tom Blevin succeeded Les Arent in management of the station.
1964 After the death of Chester Hayden in December 1963, Mrs. Hayden sold the property to Doyle Lade.
1965 Earl Elgert of Fairbury built a car wash just west of the Southside Mobil Station.
1967 Charles F. Grothe purchased the car wash.
1968 Diamond Freightways operated here for two years. (Moved to 908 J Street and combined with Jacobsen Transfer.)
1970 Grothe’s sold the car wash to Charles Picard, Jr.
1972 Mr. Picard moved the car wash building to the Eat and Tote site on 13th Street.
1980 Dick Nelson bought the property from Doyle Lade.
1981 Jack Lechtenberger ran the station.
1983 Richard Ellison ran the station.
1984 The station became an unattended station, operating on cards and key locks.
2007 Lichti Oil of Shickley purchased the station from Dick Nelson.
