George graduated from Geneva High School in 1923 and attended Doane College for two years.
For several years, he traveled for Mackie Clemmons Coal Co.
In 1932, he was appointed postmaster by President Franklin Roosevelt.
In 1945, he resigned from the post office and joined A. Koehler Co.
Georgee was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Congregational Church, and the Masonic Lodge.
He belonged to the Scottish Rite and York Rite Masons, and also the Sesostris Shrine Temple and the Meridian Shrine Club.
