1886 David C. Mowry ran Geneva Manufacture and Repair Shop, Sash and door factory. He built a big shop (painted red) which is now the home at 242 So. 9th. He was the first plumber in Geneva. He later sold his plumbing business to Frank Bentley. He bought the brick building on the southwest corner of the west business block and did tent and awning work. He also had a museum in that building--806 G Street.
1890 J. S. Small purchased the planing mill.
