1896 In August, Geneva became a wholesale distributing point for the Standard Oil Company. W. T. Thomas, who had owned the local tank line, had charge of the depot. H. H. Martin was awarded the contract to build the plant. The oil was brought in tank cars and pumped into reservoirs.

1896 In September, Clint Shickley purchased the Geneva Tank Line from W. T. Thomas.

1897 W. T. Thomas resigned his position with Standard Oil Co. He was succeeded by Frank Bailor.

2008 Geneva Milling Office was built here.
