1883 W. T. Vorris displayed his stock of agricultural implements on the corner opposite the Northrup property and had an office in the building next to his lot.
1892 A two-story house was located here through 1909.
1895 Dr. R. T. Dailey rented the Dworak property on Center street and established his family there. He also had his office here.
1922 The Sanborn maps showed the lot was vacant.
1924 The Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph Company moved into its new building here from offices above the Signal office. The Lincoln Telephone Company purchased the Bell properties in 1912 and the independent Fillmore County Telephone Exchange in 1913.

1943 The Sanborn maps showed The Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Co.
1940 The terminal room in the basement of the telephone office.
1962 To have space for the new dialing equipment, the company purchased the vacant part of the lot to the south of the Telephone Co. building from the Nebraska Public Power District.
1997 The Lincoln Telephone Co. changed its name to Aliant Communications.
1999 The Geneva business office for Aliant Communications closed. Fillmore County rented the office space area as temporary quarters for the County Sheriff’s Department during the renovation of the Courthouse. The sheriff’s department moved back to renovated offices in the Courthouse in August of 2000.
2000 Aliant Communications was sold to or merged with Alltel Communications, home office in Little Rock, Arkansas. The building still belonged to Alltel Communications, as well as the cellular telephone communications tower southwest of Geneva. Service personnel were moved to other locations.
1998 Biba Engineering leased the office space from Alltel Communications.
2007 Aliant Communications merged with Valor Communications and spun off the landlines to a different corporation, Windstream, home offices in Little Rock, Arkansas. Alltel retained the cellular operations.
2008 Biba Engineering office continued to have an office here after the death of David Biba.
