1872 Henry Wharton obtained lot 65 from the State of Nebraska.
1874 Thomas Thompson purchased lot 66 from the State of Nebraska.
1876 Thomas Thompson sold Lot 66 to Josephine Carlow.
1882 Dr. George Mozee purchased Lots 65 and 66. His residence was here until he sold the property to the city of Geneva.
1914 The house purchased by the city of Geneva was sold to the cemetery association, which moved it to the cemetery grounds. The city would build a new city building to house the fire department, city clerk’s office, and an auditorium.
1915 The Geneva Volunteer Fire Department moved their equipment from 128 No. 10th to the new fire hall, located in the south part of the new building. The fire bell was not moved to the new location. The city council chambers were on the second floor as well as the fire department meeting room. The city marshal’s office, jail, and men’s restrooms were located in the southwest corner of the building.
1917 Red Cross work was carried out in the firemen’s room in the city hall.
1942 The USO was headquartered on the second floor shortly after the Fairmont Army Air Field opened. It was a place for soldiers and local girls to meet and visit, to write letters and get to know one another. Cookies and coffee, tea, and soft drinks were served. USO dances were held in the Catholic school hall on E Street.
1973 A new fire hall was built just north of the auditorium, with the doors facing H Street. The old fire hall was remodeled and the city council, city clerk, and city administrator moved from 160 No. 9th to offices here. Part of the second floor was remodeled into office space. The public restrooms were also relocated from elsewhere in the building.
1974 Blue Valley Community Action opened a Manpower office here on the second floor.
1975 Blue Valley Community Action had their general office here on the second floor.
1980 Big Brothers of Nebraska shared second floor space with Blue Valley Community Action.
1992 The city offices moved to 161 So. 10th. The Chamber of Commerce moved here from across the street at 135 No. 9th.
1998 The city education and recreation office moved in, sharing space with the Chamber of Commerce.
1999 The Chamber of Commerce moved across the street to 167 No. 9th. The city education and recreation office moved to 161 So. 10th.
2000 As part of the courthouse renovation, Fillmore County leased the office area and moved the County Veteran’s Service Office and the State Health and Human Services Offices from the Courthouse. The Veteran’s Service Office was in the former city marshal’s office and jail.
2010 The State of Nebraska closed their Nebraska Health and Human Services Office.
2010 The Nebraska Department of Corrections moved their district probation office here. They shared space with the Fillmore County Veteran’s Service Office.
2013 The Nebraska Department of Corrections and the Fillmore County Veteran’s Service Office moved to Fillmore County East at 1320 G Street.
2013 The space was used for meetings and for a youth center occasionally.
