Born on July 27, 1845 in Henry County, Indiana.
Died on January 15, 1917 in Geneva, Nebraska.
Married to Mary Josephine Freis on February 12, 1867.
Had eight children--Minnie, Charles, Hattie, Carrie, Agnes, Estella, Walter Roscoe and George Everett.
When he was a baby, his family moved to Kentucky, where he grew up.
After graduating from high school, he studied medicine with Dr. W. H. Daugherty of Scott County, Kentucky, eventually graduating from Cincinnati College of Medicine and Surgery in 1866.
In 1867, George and Mary located at Cavein Rock, Illinois, where George practiced medicine for 16 year.
in 1883, they moved to Geneva.
From 1883-1886, he and his brothers, Ben and Will, purchased 874/878 G Street. They put in shelving and counters and brought in a full line of dry goods and groceries.
From 1892-1897, he had an office on the second floor at 892 1/2 G Street.
He was on the school board and was the city/county physician.
