1890 W. H. Goodell had a flour, feed and second hand store here

1891 In March, W. H. Goodell sold his business to T. W. Patmon. He will continue at the same location.

1891 In May, T. W. Patmon built a brick building on Church street west of the park.

1892 W. E. Hellen had Geneva Feed and Furniture here.

1892 W. E. Hellen sold his feed store and sold kitchen cabinets.

1892 Bailor & Thompkins bought Geneva Feed and Furniture from W. E. Hellen.

1893 Bailor & Locey sold furniture, framing, stoves, sewing machines, etc.

1894 The building occupied by Bailor & Locey was damaged by fire. The building, their stock and the lodge room above all suffered considerable damage.

1897 The Sanborn Maps showed a vacant dwelling.

1900 Victor Hranac owned the property.

1902 The Sanborn Maps showed a dwelling.

1909 The Sanborn Maps showed a feed store here.

1911 Grant & Lula Otis owned the property.

1912 Grant Otis built a building to house his repair shop between Peterson’s implement house and Shackleford’s blacksmith shop.

1914 J. E. Earhart’s Cream Station and Feed Store.

1922 The Sanborn Maps showed this as vacant.

1922 R & M Motor Hospital, Co., S. H. Reeves and L. Meyer were the proprietors.

1923 C. F. Bordner purchased the Grant Otis building on the east side of the square. The Geneva Shipping association occupied the building with its produce station.

1923 In June, C. O. Emerson, manager was operating a shoe repair shop in connection with the Geneva Shipping Association produce station.

1925 Ralph Myers purchased Art Dixon’s cream station and moved it here from 130 So. 8th Street.

1925 Ralph also was the subscription agent for many state newspapers and wove rags into rugs to be sold at his shop.

1926 Lincoln Pure Butter purchased the property.

1927 Ralph Myers was the agent for Smith Laundry of Crete and the Lincoln Journal. Ralph Myers opened a shoe repair shop here and called it The Geneva Shoe Rebuilding Co..

1928 Beatrice Creamery owned the property.

1933 In June, Ralph Myers was alone in the cream station and shoe shop.

1933 In July, the Sanborn Maps showed a store here.

1936 Ralph Myers included The Beauty Photo Shoppe at this location.

1945 Thomas Brower owned the property.

1947 Ike Lightbody owned the property.

1947 Dale White’s Tire Shop was located here.

1949 Apley Farm Equipment received a franchise to sell Ford farm equipment.

1950 An out of state construction company used the former location of the Myers shoe shop as their base of operation.

1954 Wilson Implement Company joined Apley Farm Equipment.

1959 Don Apley Farm Equipment Co. built a new building. The northwest corner of the building was the office of Joseph Bixby’s Insurance, Real Estate, and Accounting Business with the address of 163 So. 10th.

1962 Lightbody heirs became the owners.

1965 Don Apley purchased lots 3-5 and owned lots 3-7, all with the address of 167 So. 10th

1965 Don E. Apley received a franchise to sell the Chrysler line of autos.

1967 Joe Bixby’s Insurance, Real Estate, and Accounting Business moved to 1022 G Street with John Bixby.

1971 Virgil Clinkenbeard, who owned a welding shop (See 1000 Block of F) sold his business to the Apley Farm Equipment Co.

1990 Apley’s Inc. closed.

1991 The City of Geneva opted to enter into a lease/purchase agreement for the Apley, Inc. building.

1991 The City of Geneva owned the property.

1992 This location housed the Geneva City Offices & Council, the police, and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. Lots 5-7 were torn down and a new building was erected with an address of 167 So. 10th, taking the place of 179 So. 10th.

1998 The Activity and Education Department of the City of Geneva was added to this location.
