1878 J. H. Camp operated a livery barn here. He had seven horses and a number of new carriages.
1883 J. H. Camp called his business the Boss Livery, sale and exchange stables.
1903 In November, the Bargain Store was settled into its new building, one door west of the photo gallery.
1904 F. H. Camp bought the interest of his partner Mr. Zibbell and became the sole proprietor of the Bargain Store. Mr. Zibbell returned to Michigan, his former home.
1904 F. H. Camp let a contract to Ed Mercer to raise the top story of the Bargain Store building eight feet and put living rooms above the store. The building was 20 x 36 and the second floor was to be divided into five rooms, closet and pantry.
1904 The Bargain Store was open every night until 10 o’clock until after Christmas.
1905 In January, Fred Camp, Bargain Store, took on the agency for the Beatrice Creamery.
1912 F. H. Camp erected a billboard between his store and Line’s restaurant.
1913 Fred H. Camp made improvements on his store building. An addition was built on the east and rear of the store. The interior was improved with steel ceiling and side walls, shelving and a modern front.
1915 Mr. Camp installed a large refrigerator 7’x7’with a glass front which was a convenience to display the articles inside.
1915 Camp’s grocery added a meat market to his business.
1917 Mark Alexander operated a meat market in the Camp Building and also at 960 G Street. Ed Spafford was employed by Alexander in the Camp Building.
1919 In May, Fred Camp sold his stock of groceries to Hitch and Swails. The Camp building and fixtures were for rent.
1919 In May, Ed Spafford leased the Camp Building and opened a meat market.
1923 In March, Fred Camp sold the store property to Ed Spafford.
1924 Walt Taborsky worked at the Spafford Grocery during his junior and senior years in high school.
1926 Spafford Grocery was located here until Ed Spafford’s death in July. The building and fixtures were sold the following year.
1926 In September, Walter Taborsky bought the grocery stock and fixtures of the Spafford Grocery. The stock is located in what was known as the Camp building, the first building east of the Northwestern depot.
1929 In August, the Sanitary Market, owned by Walter Taborsky, was remodeled.
1929 In November, prime cuts of beef and pork were advertised at the Sanitary Market, Walt Taborsky, proprietor.
1930 Walt Taborsky made improvements in the Sanitary Market.
1932 Mr. and Mrs. Leslie McPeck moved into the apartments over Walter Taborsky’s store.
1934 Walter Taborsky had a marquee built on the front of his Sanitary Market building.
1935 Howard Medlen took a position as a butcher at Walt Taborsky’s Sanitary Market.
1936 In October, Harry Crawford took possession of the Sanitary Market. Harry had worked in his father’s grocery store during his youth.
1939 In April, the household goods of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Crawford were moved from the Taborsky building to rooms over Heisey’s newsstand.
1939 In May, Harry Crawford took a position with an electric company in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Crawford and the children joined him a few weeks later.
1939 In June, the fixtures in the Sanitary Market were sold at sheriff’s sale to the Meridian Finance Co. of York. The stock of groceries was sold to Stuart Schepers.

1960 Mrs. Vic Thompson did ironing in her home at this location.
1962 J. Walter Doremus and Lyle Peterson auctioned the buildings at 730 G Street--first building east of the Northwestern Depot and a small granary or tool shed. The buildings were to be moved or torn down by May 1.
1963 In March, Walt Doremus and Lyle Peterson held an open house for the new Geneva Tire & Oil, Co.
1977 In January, Gary Schroetlin of Sutton, purchased the Geneva Tire & Oil, Co. from Walt Doremus. The new firm was called Geneva Tire Company.
1993 In August, Ralph’s Geneva Tire, Ralph Graham was incorporated at 730 G Street.
2020 Nathan Graham took over when Ralph Graham retired.
