Born Dec. 10, 1906 in Geneva, NE to Monroe and Laura Bender Heisey.
Died June 12, 1970 in Carleton, NE (Buried in Geneva, NE)
Married to Lela Mills Walker of Carleton, NE in 1957
They had no children of their own, aside from the many children who came to the store to purchase their candy.
Graduated from Geneva High School and attended Lincoln School of Commerce.
A veteran of WW II, serving in the 65th Infantry Division in the Postal Division.
Member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Served on the city council, the housing board, the Fillmore Co. Fair board, and the Fire Department.
Member of the Masonic Lodge, Milligan Knights of Pythis, Odd Fellows, Rotary and American Legion
Heisey’s store was founded by his late father and located at 972 G Street.
When Kenneth was discharged from the service in 1945, he rejoined his father in the business.
Heisey’s closed in 1971 after 50 years in business.
