• Lura (Laura) Thelma Gregory Rollins was born on June 23, 1907 in Clayton, KS to Robert K. and Mina Sibert Gregory.

• Died Jan. 10, 2005 in Geneva, NE

• Married to Calvin Rollins on June 23,1945

• She had no children.

• In 1912, her family homesteaded near Cope, CO.

• In 1925, the family moved to Hastings, NE where she attended Hastings Business College.

• She worked at a radio station in Clay Center.

• In 1929, she became an accountant at the J. H. Eller Co., a chain of 16 stores in Nebraska and Kansas.

• In 1935, Lura moved to Geneva and was the accountant for the Eller Stores in Geneva, Elgin, and Belleville, KS.

• In the mid-1940’s, Lura became part owner of the Belleville store and full owner of the Geneva store.

• In the early 1970’s the Belleville, KS store closed.

• She retired in 1985 after a stroke.

• The Geneva store closed in 1990.
