Clyde came to Geneva as a small boy when his father came here to practice medicine.
In 1902, Clyde and Frank Crawford purchased the Corner Grocery from Van Nice and Morrow at 1004 G Street.
In 1909, Clyde bought the Elmer Waite barbershop at 112 No. 9th.
In 1913, Clyde bought the Tallmadge barbershop at 125 No 9th.
In 1919, Clyde became a rural mail carrier. He drove 132,000 miles, beginning with a team of horses and wagon, ending with autos when he retired in 1942.
He was a member of the Masons, Eastern Star, and Boy Scouts.
