1948 Frank Hrubesky sold his undertaking and funeral home to Paul H.Farmer.

1957 Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home—Robert Kritner purchased Sherman Ashby’s interest in the Kritner-Ashby Funeral Home of Geneva and Fairmont. Late in the same month, Robert Kritner and Paul H. Farmer consolidated the Hrubesky-Farmer Funeral Homes in both of these towns and they became Kritner-Farmer Funeral Homes.

1957 Several rooms were added and additions made to the building.

1971 Farmer-Harris Funeral Home, Paul H. Farmer & Charles W. Harris.

1974 Farmer & Son Funeral Home—Charles W. Harris sold his interest to Paul R. Farmer, who joined his father in forming Farmer & Son Funeral Home.

1977 Farmer & Son Funeral Home—John Brower joined the staff.

1978 Farmer & Son purchased the Farmer Funeral Home in Exeter from Paul’s sister-in-law Loy Farmer after the death of Burton.

1980 The facility in Geneva was gutted by a fire. They rebuilt.

1982 Branches were opened in Exeter and Milligan.

2007 Staff included P. R. Farmer, John D. Steider, John R. Brower, and Shaun P. Farmer.

2019 Current owners were Michael Brower and Shaun Farmer. Farmer Funeral Home also had an interest in the Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton and the McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center. They had a partnership with Kevin Perrien. They maintained locations in Geneva, Exeter, and Milligan.
