Mervin Bedford

Born February 14, 1902 at Bee, NE to Oliver and Stella Terwilliger Bedford.
Died Oct. 29, 1960 at his farm near Shickley, NE
Married Zelma Willmore on September 28, 1929 in Hebron, NE
Parents of one daughter, Marymaude.
In 1907, he moved to Geneva with his family.
Graduated from Geneva High School.
Attended Creighton University in Omaha.
With his pharmacy degree, he worked in Hebron for four years.

For three years, he was a state weights and measurements inspector.
He entered the implement and wholesale automobile business in Geneva in 1936.
He sold the business in 1949.
He farmed near Geneva and Shickley.
Elected state senator for 1955 and 1957 sessions.
Charter member and first president of the Geneva Lions Club.
President of the Geneva Community Club.
Geneva Board of Education,
Geneva Methodist Church.
Geneva Masonic Lodge.
Scottish Rite and Shrine.
