1919 Frank Ashton purchased the property and erected a building here to do stone cutting and to store the granite needed for his monument works.
1933 It is unknown how the building was used during this time, but it is thought it may have been used to store automobiles until about 1943.
1945 The Ashton Monument Works was sold to W. S. Desch & Sons of York. All materials and equipment were moved to York.
195? Mrs. Frank Ashton sold the property to Walter Doremus.
1964 Charles “Judd” Massoth purchased the property and hired Delfs Gehrke to construct a building suitable for an automotive repair shop. It was the last steel building with wood interior that Delfs built. From then on his buildings were all steel.
1965 McMullen’s Automotive Repair, owned by Grover “Toby” McMullen moved into the building from his previous location at 426 North 13th Street. This business was not listed in the 1973 telephone book.
1973 About this time Wynne Transport, a gasoline trucking company, used the building to work on their trucks.
1974 Olena’s Repair, owned by Floyd and Lyle Olena, opened for business. They repaired radiators and had a wrecker service.
1978 Buzz’s Alignment, Harold “Buzz” and Viola Sole, purchased the property from the Charles Massoth estate. Buzz moved his business here from 835 F Street.
