Note: The apartment building was originally a wooden schoolhouse built in 1885 and located in the block between F & G and 11th & 12th Streets. When the school district decided to build a masonry building, they moved the wooden structure off to the southwest corner of the intersection. In 1906, Dr. Hiram L. Smith bought the building, divided it into three buildings and moved them to 945, 939 and 933 F.
