Emil S. Sandrock
Born on January 21, 1856 to Albert Hindelang and Miss Sandrock. Shortly after the death of his mother, he was adopted by his maternal grandparents.

Parents of one daughter who died in infancy.
Until he was eight years old, he spent time with his grandparents in Buffalo, NY and his father in New York City.
Then he lived with his mother's sister, Mrs. John Schmitz while attending school.
He lived in Geneva, Wisconsin until 1879.
He moved to Exeter, NE and was employed at a grain elevator.
He partnered with a man named Mulholland and ran an elevator until 1891.
In 1891, he was elected county treasurer for two terms.
Then he was elected mayor of Geneva.
He was a cashier in the Geneva State Bank.
In 1906, he was promoted to vice-president of the Geneva State Bank, an office he held until his death.
He created an endowment for the permanent care and beautification of the Geneva cemetery.
