1882 Dr. George Mozee purchased Lots 65 and 66. His residence was here until he sold the property to the city of Geneva.
1914 The house purchased by the city of Geneva was sold to the cemetery association, which moved it to the cemetery grounds. The city would build a new city building to house the fire department, city clerk’s office, and an auditorium.
1915 The City Clerk’s office was at 160 No. 9th, just south of the auditorium lobby.
1973 A new fire hall was built just north of the auditorium, with the doors facing H Street. The old fire hall was remodeled and the city council, city clerk, and city administrator moved from 160 No. 9th to the office in the newly remodeled building, 150 No. 9th. Part of the second floor was remodeled into office space. The public restrooms were also relocated from elsewhere in the building to locations on either side of the auditorium lobby.
1993 The City Clerk’s office was moved into the new city hall at 167 South 10th.
1993 This space was used for meetings and occasionally as a rec center for teenagaers.
