Born on March 19, 1859 in Galena, Illinois to Christian and Margaret Gund Koehler.
Died on February 21, 1900 at the age of 40 in a hospital in Chicago. He is buried in the Geneva Cemetery.
Married Kate Fisher on October 5, 1892.

In 1876, Anthony’s family moved to Le Mars, Iowa.
In 1883, Anthony moved to Blue Hill, NE
In 1885, Anthony moved to Geneva and built an elevator on the Burlington tracks.
A few years later that elevator was moved to the Elkhorn tracks.
Anthony built the A. Koehler Co., handling grain, lumber, and coal.
In 1894, Anthony’s brother, Barthold, joined him in the business. Henry and Christian were also part of the incorporation of the business, however neither one were residents of Geneva.
Anthony was a member of the Masons and the Modern Woodmen Workmen and Fraternal Aid association.
He attended the Congregational Church.
