Post date: Oct 29, 2017 9:59:39 PM

Monday, 10/30 & Tuesday, 10/31 - all of your submitted topics have been read and processed and either approved with next steps or disapproved with notes about how to improve. Here is the spreadsheet of all of your submitted topics: goo.gl/4Hbk5B.

Here are the slides with details about topic approval and a timeline for you coming up. Here are the slides from the class where we looked at a bunch of sample Math Explorations.

Here is a timeline of upcoming deadlines for the Math Exploration:

Monday, 12/4 (about five weeks from now) a rough draft due so that your peers can read your work and give you readability feedback.

Friday, 12/22 (about three weeks afterwards) a near-final* draft due to your teacher so that he can provide detailed comments and feedback to incorporate into your final draft.

*near-final draft preferred because that way, your teacher can give you the most and the best feedback possible

End of February (some time after Mid-Winter Recess in February) your final draft will be due.

Here are the sample Math Explorations we read in class:

And once again, here is the Math Exploration rubric for Math HL, including some helpful hints and some links to help you write and format math equations and math type.

Mr. Lao is always available for individual conferencing about your Exploration. Just plan ahead to set up a specific appointment.
