We finished our unit on trigonometry with triangle trigonometry. We'll have a quiz on Thursday, 2/11.

Tuesday, 2/2 - First we reviewed our Term 2 IAs. Here are the slides from class. You'll be reviewing your IA by redoing four key questions (#6, 8, 11, 12) from your IA. I encourage you to work together. Here are the notes about the IA questions and also the four questions you'll be redoing. This will be due in class on Friday, 2/12.

• If you already got some of them correct - great! You'll do it again even faster than before. Plus, it's often through teaching and coaching (not telling) others that we truly learn something.
• I want everyone to experience those amazing feelings of "Aha!" or, even better, helping someone else to get to their own "Aha!" moment, seeing the joy on their face, and feeling good that you had a helping hand in making that happen.
• Note that true "Aha!" moments don't happen by telling, or copying, or lacking perseverance.
• If you do have an "Aha!" moment, or helped someone get an "Aha!" moment, I'd love to know about it! Write "Aha!" on the page near the place in the problem that triggered the moment.
• On time completion will be worth an all or nothing 5 point process category grade.
• Accuracy of completed problems will be worth a maximum of 18 assessment category points (the questions you're redoing are worth 54 marks all together, so it'll be weighted by one-third).

Wednesday, 2/3 - we continued looking at trigonometry and looked at geometry problems using trigonometry. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 367 (Ex. 8.2) #12, 14, 15, 16, 19.

Thursday, 2/4 - we looked at the Law of Sines, specifically the Ambiguous Case. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 380 (Ex. 8.3/8.4) #7, 8, 10, 14, 18, 21.

Friday, 2/5 - we looked at the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines with practice problems. Here are the slides from class. Here are the problems from class. No homework this weekend - Happy Lunar New Year!

Tuesday, 2/9 - we looked at problems involving triangles. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 390 (Ex. 8.5) #11, 13, 17-19.

Wednesday, 2/10 - we did practice problems in preparation for our quiz tomorrow. Here are my worked solutions to those problems.

Thursday, 2/11 - we have a quiz on: arc length, area of sector, area of a triangle, right triangle trigonometry, law of sines, law of cosines.

Friday, 2/12 - we started our new unit on vectors and learned what vectors are. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is to treat yo' self.
