We started our unit applying what we know about trigonometry to equations and triangles.

You have a Delta Math assignment due Monday 5/19 and one due Tuesday 5/27.

We will have a long quiz on Wednesday 5/28 about triangles and equations.

  • On Wednesday 5/14 we simplified using trigonometric identities. Here are the slides from class. Here are the problems from class and here are the solutions.
  • On Thursday, 5/15 we learned another formula for the area of a triangle and also the Law of Sines. Here are the slides from class.
  • On Friday, 5/16 we learned about the Law of Cosines. Here are the slides from class.
  • On Monday 5/19, I am not in school. You will be taking an Algebra 2 field test for the state. Please come prepared with a #2 pencil and a calculator.
  • On Tuesday 5/20 we solved equations involving trigonometric functions. Here are the slides from class.
  • On Wednesday 5/21 we solved more trigonometric equations, this time involving the use of identities. Here are the slides from class.
  • Thursday 5/22 was Founders' Day!
  • On Friday 5/23 we practiced all sorts of trigonometric equations. Here are the problems we did in class, and here are the solutions.
  • Monday 5/26 is Memorial Day - no school!
  • On Tuesday 5/27 we looked at the Regents formula sheet and looked quickly at some special trigonometric formulae. Here are the slides from class.
  • On Wedneday 5/28 we had a long quiz on solving triangles and solving trig equations.
  • On Thursday 5/29 we did an Independent Problem Solving exercise in class about solving triangles.
