We continued looking at differentiation techniques this week.

On Tuesday 1/13, we learned the Product Rule. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 446 (Ex. 13.3) #1a,b,c, d,g,k, #2c.

On Wednesday 1/14, we learned the Quotient Rule and the derivative of tangent. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 446 (Ex. 13.3) #1, 2.

On Thursday 1/15, we practiced using the Product and Quotient Rules. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 446 (Ex. 13.3) #3ab, 5, 6.

On Friday 1/16, we practiced choosing which rule (product, quotient, chain, power, etc.) to use given any function. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 457 (Ex. 13.5) #2-18 even, and #28.

On Monday, 1/19, it's MLK Jr. Day - No School! Enjoy your three day weekend!

On Tuesday 1/20, we applied our knowledge of new kinds of derivatives to kinematics and optimization problems. Here are the slides from class. We worked on some of these problems in class and your HW is Ex. 17A.2 #8 and Ex. 17C #9.

On Wednesday 1/21, we continued the same problems in class. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is Worksheet Ex. 17B #6 and Ex. 14D #3.

On Thursday, 1/22, we are reviewing for our IA. Here are the slides from class. Here is a review of key ideas from Term 2 and calculus in general as well as more review problems. Your HW is #7 and #69 from the questions from this review packet.

On Friday 1/23, we are reviewing for our IA, which is on Monday. See resources, below.

Our Term 2 Interim Assessment is on Monday, January 26th at 10:30 AM. It will cover material primarily from this year, which has been differential calculus (derivatives). Here are some documents that will help you study for our Math IA:
