Welcome back to school!

On this page, you will find resources for our class, IB Math Studies for seniors. Please bookmark this site for future reference.

Here is a link to the class syllabus for the year that gives you information about the course as well as class norms and expectations.

Wednesday, 9/9 - we looked at class expectations. Your homework tonight are some review problems that would be from a Paper 1 exam, which are page 440 #1, 6, 8. Here are the slides from the first day of class.

Thursday, 9/10 - we looked at some applications of math we've encountered last year as applied to some fun videos. Here are the slides from class. If you're curious, here are the videos about Futurama, and here are the videos about Dominoes. Your HW for tonight are sample Paper 2 exam questions, found on page 445, #2ab, 4. You should check your answers, available starting on page 459 of your textbook.

Friday, 9/11 - we collaborated on norms for our math classroom today. Here are the slides from class. I will synthesize all of our thoughts from today into a set of norms we can follow. Your HW for the long weekend is to introduce yourself to statistics by reading pages 310-312 in your textbook and completing p. 312 (Ex. 12.1) #3-8 and 10-12. If you have still not located your textbook, you can find your HW at this link here, but be aware that this document does not exactly match your textbook. If you're use my link and not your own textbook, please read all of Section 11.1 (pages 287-289) and complete ALL of the exercises for 11.1 (page 289 #1-9). The text is only a bit different, but all of the questions are the same, just numbered differently.
