We are continuing our unit on numbers and patterns and looking at special ways of counting.

Friday, 11/18 - we reviewed factorials and reviewed the fundamental counting principle that allows us to use multiplication to count groups faster. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is new edition p. 180/old edition p.170 (Ex. 4.5) #2-12.

Monday, 11/21 - we looked at permutations of objects where order does matter. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 180/old edition p.170 (Ex. 4.5) #13-14, 15-16 (for 15-16 don't write out all the possibilities, just find the total number) & 17-18.

Tuesday, 11/22 - we looked at combinations of objects where order does not matter. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 180/old edition p.170 (Ex. 4.5) #19-20 & 23-24.

Wednesday, 11/23 - we practiced mixed IB problems involving permutations and combinations. Here are the problems we did in class, including solutions. Your HW is to eat some pie.

Thursday, 11/24 - Friday, 11/25 - Thanksgiving Recess. Enjoy your days off!

Monday, 11/28 - You got a take home quiz today about counting, permutations, and combinations. It is due in class on this Friday, 12/2.
