We started introducing the definition of the derivative this week.

Here is the packet of Introduction to Differential Calculus classwork notes and homework sheets. We will be using this for the next week or so.

Here's what we're doing this week:

• On Monday 4/28, we looked at limits of functions. Here are the marked slides from class. Your HW is Page 351 #1, 4-7.
• On Tuesday 4/29, we started looking at slopes of secant lines, corresponding to Worksheet 8-5 classwork in your packet. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is to complete Worksheet 8-5 Homework.
• On Wednesday 4/30, we started looking at tangent lines, corresponding to Worksheet 8-6 classwork in your packet. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is to complete Worksheet 8-6 Homework.
• On Thursday 5/1, we continued looking at velocity functions by plotting many exact speeds. Here are the slides from class. We reviewed Worksheet 8-6 HW in class and started tonight's homework, Worksheet 8-7 Homework.
