We are wrapping up our study of trigonometry by looking at trigonometric inverses and triangle laws.

Tuesday, 1/31 - we are looking at trigonometric inverses. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is OE p. 334/NE p. 344 (Ex. 7.6) #13-16, 27, 30-31.

Wednesday, 2/1 - we looked at the Law of Sines, particular the ambiguous case of the Law of Sines where there might be two possible triangles. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is OE p.370/NE p. 380 (Ex. 8.3/8.4) #7, 8, 10, 14, 18, 21.

Thursday, 2/2 - we practice using the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines. Here are the slides from class. Here is the worksheet of problems from class. The solutions to the worksheet problems are in the slides. Your HW is OE p.371/NE pg. 381 (8-4) #25-28.

Friday, 2/3 - we practiced using the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines in more difficult application problems, especially in 3D. Here are the slides from class. Here is the worksheet of problems from class. Your HW is OE p.380/NE p. 390 (Ex. 8.5) #11, 13, 17-19.

Monday, 2/6 and Tuesday, 2/7 - we did practice problems to prepare for our trigonometry exam which is happening on Wednesday. Here are the IB practice problems from class. For homework for Monday night, you should aim to finish questions #1-4. Here are the solutions to those problems.

Wednesday, 2/8 - you have an exam on trigonometry: trigonometric functions, right triangles, trig equations, trig identities, inverse trig functions, area of a triangle, arc length of a circle, area of a sector of a circle, law of sines, and law of cosines. The practice problems from Monday and Tuesday are a good representation of what will be on your exam.
