We started solving novel problems today. In class, we worked individually and in groups, using our process: PLAN, ATTACK, CHECK, REFLECT.

There are several documents for this unit that will be helpful to us:

• The introduction and rationale for this unit.
• The flowchart explaining the process to which we will adhere.
• The problem solving rubric by which your problem write ups will be assessed.
• The calendar of important dates, and problems for this chapter, hints included.

Here are the marked slides from today's class.

One rough draft of one problem will be due by email to me by 6PM Saturday. Title your Word document "R#_Last_First_Draft", so for example, "R1_Lao_Daniel_Draft".
