Today we looked at how to solve quadratic equations. The solutions to quadratic equations are called the roots of the equation. We can find the roots by looking at the zeros of the related quadratic function, i.e. looking at the x-intercepts of the graph of the quadratic function.

Here are the marked slides from class.

Here is the classwork investigation.

Here is the homework: page 263-264, #14-19 and #30-32.

I gave back your Unit 1 Exams today. As per my test correction policies, you will have one week to do test corrections, so any test corrections must be handed to me by next Monday, October 8, 2012. Again, test corrections should be done in office hours (MW after school), in my presence.

Delta Math is due at 8 AM this Friday, as per usual.
