We reviewed for our exam today.

Here are the slides from class, which include the exam topics and some optional review problems you could do.

For the warm up: if the degree of the numerator is less than the degree of the denominator, the horizontal asymptote is y=0 (always). If the degree of the numerator is greater than the degree of the denominator, there is no horizontal asymptote. And, if the degrees are equal, look at the leading coefficients (the number next to the variables with the highest exponent) of the numerator and the denominator. The horizontal asymptote is the leading coefficient of the top divided by the leading coefficient of the bottom.

Beware the difference between simplifying rational expressions and solving rational equations.

The Exam is tomorrow.

Delta Math is due Friday at 8 AM.
