We are jumping back into differential calculus and extending what we know about derivatives. Mr. Lao will be checking HW daily for the rest of the term.

On Monday 1/5, we reviewed our understanding of derivatives so far. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is Page 388, #7, 12, 14.

On Tuesday, 1/6, we looked at the derivatives of sine and cosine. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 430 (Ex. 13.1) #1a, 1e, 2a, 3.

On Wednesday, 1/7, we looked at the derivatives of exponentials and logarithms. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 430 (Ex. 13.1) #1, 2, 4, 5.

On Thursday, 1/8, we looked at using the chain rule on derivatives of sine, cosine, exponentials, and logarithms. Here are the slides from class. Your HW is p. 438 (Ex. 13.2) #1c,d,f,h,i,l, 2c, 4b,d,e.

On Friday, 1/9 and Monday 1/12, we looked at more practice problems involving the derivatives of sine, cosine, exponentials, and logarithms. Your HW (due Tuesday 1/13) is to finish this worksheet of problems involving more complicated derivative problems. We will continue working on these problems on Monday as well.
