We are studying probability this week, which is part of the core curriculum (Papers 1 or 2).

Monday, 3/6 - we learned basic probability vocabulary, rules, and diagrams. Here are the slides from class. Here is the worksheet from class. Your HW is to finish your Math Exploration and submit it before the 10PM deadline tonight.

Tuesday, 3/7 - we learned how to use Venn diagrams and set operations for probability. Here are the slides from class. Here are the notes and problems from class. Your HW is p. 548 (Ex. 12.4) #1-6, 16.

Wednesday, 3/8 - we distinguished between independent and dependent events in probability. Here are the notes and problems from class. Your HW is the problems on the back of the notes from class.

Thursday, 3/9 - we used conditional probability. Here are the notes and problems and HW from class. Your HW is the sheet of problems, with full solutions on the other side.

Friday, 3/10 - we used Bayes' Theorem, which is the only "HL only" probability topic. Here are the notes and problems from class. No HW this weekend.

Monday, 3/13 - we practiced IB style probability problems. Here are the practice problems and here are the solutions.

Tuesday, 3/14 - It's Pi Day! It's also a Snow Day and school is closed. Stay safe and warm!

Wednesday, 3/15 - we have a group, open notes quiz on Probability.
