Concentration: People

Choosing my concentration was very hard. I wanted it to be meaningful an powerful, yet at the same time I wanted my photos to be original. For a long time I went without a concentration trying to come up with ideas to follow. I usually found something last minute that fit the project criteria. Next quarter I hope not to make that mistake. In the I found that many of my photos included people. There's nothing special behind it and no powerful message like I had wanted, but I worked with what I had. Whether there are multiple people or just one, these photos have a person in them or relate back to people. I definitely played around with setting and place in these photos. I used many different model and tried to include different ideas. I used tools like photoshop and the filters in photos to edit my pictures and make people focus on different things.

During quarter 4 I was able to add a couple photos to my concentration. The concentration was still people although I never purposely made my photos include people. It fell into place that some of my photos did showcase people whether it be one or two. Many of my people film photos did turn out to be my best works or carry a really strong message. They also include some of the techniques that I talk about in my breadth. It still had no strong message as a concentration, but I did enjoy working with it. People can be very interesting or funny, sometimes serious or happy. My total concentration includes a wide array of photos, subject, and feelings. I hope to continue photography in future art classes, but hopefully get a more meaning full concentration to stick with.
