Color Design

My Painting is of two value strips and the other painting is of Winnie the Pooh with his shirt being a mix of colors. I used acrylic paint for everything including the splatter paint in the background. I chose to do the Winnie the Pooh because it is my favorite childhood cartoon and I knew i could put all the colors in his shirt. I randomly drew lines to separate his shirt into twelve different sections. Then with a ruler I broke those twelve sections into seven smaller parts. And those twelve section are value strips of all twelve colors on the color wheel. I made Winnie the Pooh the center point of the painting and really large so people would be drawn to him. I framed the painting with avery light blue to contrast the darker yellow and added a pop of color with the pink. I feel I did strongly on my design and making the value strips a thing people notice because it's the one thing that is different in the painting. The one thing I could improve on is keeping the yellow one solid color next time and filling in the little white spaces in between the colors on my value strip.
