extended blind contour

My drawing is an abstract lion with a dancing elephant on it's face. Then there is two people that are supposed to be on the beach at night. First i drew in sharpie. We had to draw each of our hands and then draw our face with both our left and right hand. After had had done the sharpie, I made those lines into my pictures with crayons. As i was looking at the lines in sharpie, I saw these two pictures and decided to draw them over the sharpie. As i went along I tried to add more colors over time along with more movement and contrast. I used techniques such as framing around the lions face with the mane by expanding it and using different colors. I also tried to use selective focus by using bright colors and shading in areas. Over time I did and multiple colors that i didn't think I would use at first. Then I ended up adding a background behind the people in order take use more negative space and have more movement in the back. I drew a lion because I thought it would be a little challenging, but once I saw it I couldn't think of anything else. Then my friend pointed out the two people which i had seen before and it felt like the best idea so I went with it and added a few touches of my own. The beach is one of my favorite places, so i decided to draw that as the background and I thought the piece needed more color so that's why I did the rainbow in the lion's mane. If anything I think that i should've taken more time on the people so they looked a little less sloppy.
