Realistic Scratchboard Drawing

My drawing is of a cherry blossom tree on scratchboard paper. I used multiple tools to scratch the different shades of black and white. I chose to draw this picture on scratchboard because it had interesting positive and negative space and a good composition. There is also a lot of texture within the drawing because of the different amount of pressure I applied in certain areas. Leaving the tree branches black it draws attention to them because they stand out. I changed the grid a couple times in order to get better details. This was a picture that I personally took back in Maryland. I would change the background of my picture to be something more simple.
