This painting is of a boat in the middle of the sea at night with a full moon and a bunch of stars. It's supposed to be a play off Claude Monet for the water and a little bit of Jackson Pollock to make the stars. I used acrylic paint and glitter to create my painting. I was thinking of ideas to do for this project and this one turned out to be the best of the random designs I chose. I used a lot of value in the water along with spacing of each of the shades of blue making sure they weren't too close to the same shade. At first I had the water all one color but I then added multiple layers of different blues in order for it to resemble a Claude Monet painting. I always liked water and nature photos and paintings and that's what inspired me to do this painting. If I could change one thing I would make my lines that make up the water smaller so that I could add more of them.
