Inspired Film

This photo is of one of my dogs, Boe, while we were in the backyard. He is on our back deck and my two other dogs were running around in the yard. For this i used the film camera that I got from the school and went taking pictures of my dogs as they played. I then developed the film using the chemical process. After the film dried I made a contact print which is of the whole roll of film. From that I chose the picture with the best composition and most interesting concept. I chose to finalize and enlarge this photo because it had a full range of value and the patterns created on the door and from the paneling on the wall of the house.

While taking my pictures I tried to make sure the compositions were interesting and that I had high key lighting in all my photos so it would show up when developing the film. This photo showcases sharp focus because everything in the photo is focused. The camera I was using was manual focus so I tried to get everything in focus. My project evolved and I had to change many things. The first roll of film I developed for this project came out blank which means all of my photos were too dark. Then the second one ripped and I couldn't save any of the film.

The photos were of my time when I came home after school. I let my dogs outside to go to the bathroom and I decided that it would be a good time to take photos of them for my project. I just started taking pictures of whatever they were doing. If I were to change anything it would be that the borders on my print were diagonal and when I exposed the contact print I missed part of the paper so I would do that again.
