Most of my pictures are taken in the front of the school and towards the bus loop. Some are also from Liam Gordon park in freeport after school got out. These pictures are of many different subjects. Some showcase my friends others are of different plants and bushes. I tried to use everything around me in order to complete the requirement for this project. Using shadows to get low key lighting and the angle of my camera for low and high horizon lines. In many of my photos I tried to think of the balance within what I was capturing even if it wasn't specifically needed for that picture. The balance between background and foreground is important when taking pictures along with the balance in subjects. Space played a big role in most of the photos I took and I had to pay attention to the lighting and how It would affect the photo I was about to take.
This project was based upon using the composition rules and techniques of design. We had to take photos that matched one of the rules or techniques and know why they matched that description. Each one of my pictures showcases a different composition rule or technique. While we were outside working on taking pictures, I took multiples of each of the pictures and later had to decide which one was stronger and if I should edit them. I didn't edit any of my photos this project. I also went out later that day and took more pictures with my boyfriend. I used these because I had either not gotten a picture for that certain technique or that photo was stronger than the one I had originally planned to use.
While doing this project I was just trying to have fun and take cool pictures even though were we just outside the school. If I could change something it would be the setting. I like taking my own pictures and would like to do them in different settings with different lighting, at multiple times of the day.
