Usually found in sandy or gravel bottom areas, sometimes partially buried into substrate

Rare. Only egg case has been observed.

Massachusetts to Gulf Coast of Florida
Behavior & Notes
Prefer temperature range from 50-70 F; change their depth seasonally to conform to these parameters
