Arm length: reaching 2.5cm (1") in diameter
Recognition Characters
Has numerous long, bristly, glassy, arm spines that run length of arms. Central disk is star-shaped with arms extending from depressions in between rounded tips.
Color
Multiple color patterns. Can be grey, red, bright red or orange.
Habitat & Depth
Inhabit rocky outcroppings and hard bottoms. Commonly inside or under spaces created by tunicates and sponges.
Distribution at GRNMS
Locally abundant when found. Inhabit a variety of tunicates and sponges.

Behavior & Notes
This small brittlestar is cryptic and is hidden inside tunicates and sponges. Form large, gregarious associations when found.
