Recognition Characters
Unbranched hydroid. Polyps are solitary arising from long individual pedicels. Hydrothecae large, the distal 3/4 strongly cylindrical while the proximal end tapers regularly at the base. Rim of the hydrothecae marked by 12-14 distinct teeth on the margin.
