Recognition Characters
Shell is wall plicate or with low, broadly rounded ribs. Carinal side of basal margin entire. Exterior of scutum is strongly ribbed at regular intervals.

Habitat & Depth
Found in fouling communities on docks, pilings, wrecks, and debris on reefs. Also attach to turtle and mollusk shells.
Distribution at GRNMS
Common. Encrust rocks and debris.
Geographic Range
North Carolina south to Florida, Bahamas, Gulf of Mexico
