Shell Length: 1-2 cm

Recognition Characters

Very white, elongately conical, with spire about 2/3 of shell length.

Color

Pure white, sometimes with bands of brown spots

Habitat & Depth

Sand and rock rubble, in water 5-400 feet deep.

Distribution at GRNMS

Rare. May be found partially buried in sediment surrounding reef or under rocks.

Geographic Range

North Carolina to the West Indies
