Recognition Characters

Plume shaped, small branching hydroid. Polyps are regularly spaced along pedicels. Hydrothecae short and stout, turned well outward at the distal end; margin with 9 similar teeth, deeply cut but not very sharp.

Occasional. Attach to a variety of substrates and seaweeds.

North Carolina, Florida, Gulf of Mexico. Shallow water to 500m
