Spots are usually circular with darker outlines.
Color
White mantle is covered with gray or black spots. Naked shell is porcelain white.
Habitat & Depth
Attach to and feed on gorgonians in all types of habitats.
Distribution at GRNMS
Rare at GRNMS. More common on deeper reefs and attached to Muricea sp..
Geographic Range
Georgia, Florida Atlantic Coast, Bahamas. Remainder of distribution unknown.
Behavior & Notes
Most commonly associated with the Sea Whip on Georgia coast.
