Mi querida España
Mi querida España
Esta España mía,
Esta España nuestra
De tu santa siesta
Ahora te despiertan
Versos de poetas
¿dónde están tus ojos?
¿dónde están tus manos?
¿dónde tu cabeza?
Mi querida España
Esta España mía,
Esta España nuestra
Mi querida España
Esta España mía,
Esta España nuestra
De las aras quietas
De las vendas negras
Sobre carne abierta
¿Quién pasó tu hambre?
¿Quién bebió tu sangre
Cuando estabas seca?
Mi querida España
Esta España mía,
Esta España nuestra
Mi querida España
Esta España mía,
Esta España nuestra
Pueblo de palabra
Y de piel amarga
Dulce tu promesa
Quiero ser tu tierra
Quiero ser tu hierba
Cuando yo me muera
Mi querida España
Esta España mía,
Esta España nuestra
My beloved Spain
My beloved Spain,
this, this Spain of mine,
this, this Spain of ours.
From your holy siesta 1
now you´re woken up
by poet´s verses.
Where are your eyes,
where are your hands,
where, your head?
My beloved Spain,
this Spain of mine,
this Spain of ours.
My beloved Spain,
this Spain of mine,
this Spain of ours.
From the quiet tilled fields,
from the balck bandages
over your open flesh.
¿Who suffered your hunger,
who drank your blood
when you were all dried up?
My beloved Spain,
this Spain of mine,
this Spain of ours.
My beloved Spain,
this Spain of mine,
this Spain of ours.
A people of their word,
of sour skin,
yet promises so sweet.
I want to be your earth,
I want to be your grass
when I die.
My beloved Spain,
this Spain of mine,
this Spain of ours.
Mia cara Spagna
Mia cara Spagna
mia cara Spagna
Questa mia Spagna
Questa nostra Spagna
Della tua santa siesta
Adesso ti svegliano
versi di poeti
dove sono i tuoi occhi?
dove sono le tue mani
dov'è la tua testa?
mia cara Spagna
Questa mia Spagna
Questa nostra Spagna
mia cara Spagna
Questa mia Spagna
Questa nostra Spagna
Dagli altari silenziosi
delle bende nere
sulla carne aperta
Chi ha superato la tua fame?
che ha bevuto il tuo sangue
quando eri asciutta
mia cara Spagna
Questa mia Spagna
Questa nostra Spagna
mia cara Spagna
Questa mia Spagna
Questa nostra Spagna
Popolo di parola
e di pelle amara
Dolce la tua promessa
Voglio essere la tua terra
Voglio essere la tua erba
Quando muoio
mia cara Spagna
Questa mia Spagna
Questa nostra Spagna
