Xero is the online accounting system that we use for Strictly Savvy and our clients if we are providing bookkeeping services.

1. Select Bills to pay from the Business drop down menu
2. Select New Bill
3. Enter details into the highlighted fields below.
You don’t need to enter anything under Item (this relates to stock).
Attach a copy of the electronic invoice under Attachment.
4. Enter in the Quantity and the Unit Price. Xero calculates the total for you.
Under Account, pick which account code is appropriate from the drop down menu.
5. Pick either Tax Inclusive or Tax Exclusive from the drop down menu to ensure the Total matches the invoice.
6. Click Approve and you have now entered the invoice. Or you can click Save and it will be put into Drafts for you to complete later.
7. To attach a file to the transaction you can drag a PDF file onto the icon below. This will now save the file against that transaction should you ever need to go back and look at it.
8. To view the list of outstanding invoices to be paid go to Accounts, Purchase and then click on Awaiting Payment.
9. To save time you can copy a bill you have previously entered. This means you won’t have to enter in all of the details again. Click on Paid and then Search.
10. Enter in the company name and click search.
11. Click on the name
12. Now click on enter and this will then make a copy of the transaction. You can now update the details and then Approve.
