Owen Thomas, Leading Stoker

Thomas Owen, Leading Stoker, Mercantile Marine, HMHS Anglia. Lost at sea due to enemy action, age 55, on 17 November 1915.

In 1911 the family lived at Beulah, 39 Holborn Road, Holyhead and comprised Owen Thomas (51), Head Stoker for LNWR, his wife, Elizabeth Thomas (48) (nee Jones), Owen Thomas (15), Post Office Messenger, Queenie Street (22), visitor, employed as a Nurse from Liverpool, Kate Jones (13), Boarder from Llanerchymedd and also Mary Catherine Roberts (25), a General Servant.

The couple had married in 1889. There were two other sons, David Thomas (b. about 1886) and Robert Thomas (b. about 1890) who were no longer living at the family home.The family had previously lived at 15 Llainfain, Holyhead.
